Where signal becomes ritual

Psychedelic audio tools that play along.

Plugins that follow your notes, your scale and your groove. Precise enough to trust in any mix, strange enough to take you somewhere you didn't plan to go.

The SACRED DSP philosophy

Make the weird stuff happen on purpose.

Psychedelic music lives on a knife's edge, where one step too far turns magic into mush. These plugins exist because the tools we needed for that edge didn't exist yet, so we built them.

Every echo, stutter and spiral stays locked to your tempo and tuned to your track. Push the feedback, swing the modulation and bend reality without losing control.

Rooted in psytrance. Made for anyone who wants their sound to move.

Precise by design

Timing in note cycles, beats or milliseconds. Pitch snaps to your scale and root.

Movement you can see

Live visual feedback shows exactly what the sound is doing, so you always find your way back.

Easy to explore

One screen, clear controls, sound-design presets to start from. Turn a knob and listen.

A delay that listens and a stutter that sings. Download either one for free and keep it. If you can support the work, your contribution funds the next tool.

Phase Echo

The delay that plays along.

A phase-aware delay that measures time in musical note cycles, so repeats stay in phase and tuned to the incoming pitch. Shape liquid repeats with a time LFO, climb through chords with Stairs, and twist the tail into spirals, droids, bells or shimmering pads.

Phase Fracture by SACRED DSP, stutter that sings. Plugin interface: time, pitch trajectory, motion, LFO 1 and LFO 2 sections

Phase Fracture

Stutter that sings.

Grab a sliver of your sound and play it like an instrument. Tune the loop to a note, draw an eight-step melody, snap it to a scale, then push the motion across the stereo field with two LFOs.

Under the surface

Strange sounds. Exact moves.

E/01

Echoes that move

An LFO sits directly on delay time, from warm tape wobble to full-range time warps. A second LFO can animate the filter.

E/02

One note, many directions

Stairs turns a single note into an arpeggio or a full chord. Spiral nudges each repeat higher or lower for a tail that keeps travelling.

F/01

A melody inside the glitch

Note mode tunes the loop to a pitch. Draw eight steps, then snap the trajectory to a scale and root.

F/02

Movement that keeps evolving

Route either LFO across sixteen destinations, including the other LFO. Split the stereo read heads for more width.

Where to start

From subtle to otherworldly.

Phase Echo

Liquid delay

Start with a gentle tape wobble, or push the time LFO hard and send your echoes bending, smearing and spiralling into deep, otherworldly territory.

Phase Fracture

Rhythmic fills

Trigger a tight, tempo-locked stutter at the end of a bar, then reverse or freeze the moment.

Fracture → Echo

New instruments

Build a melody from a fractured loop and send it into a harmonic, spiralling echo tail.

Both plugins run as VST3 on macOS and Windows, and as AU on macOS for Logic Pro. Each download holds the Mac and Windows builds plus a manual with a quick guide to the controls.

One Payhip download per plugin, with the Mac and Windows builds and a PDF manual
  1. Copy the plugin to its folder

    Mac AU: ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components

    Mac VST3: ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3 · Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3

  2. Unblock it on macOS

The Mac builds are not notarized by Apple yet, so macOS may block them the first time. Open Terminal and run this once:

    xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3
  3. On Windows

Copy the .vst3 file into the VST3 folder above. If Windows SmartScreen shows a warning, choose More info, then Run anyway.

  4. Rescan in your DAW

Restart your DAW. In Logic Pro, open the Plug-in Manager and choose Reset & Rescan Selection if the plugin doesn't appear.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

What's the difference between the two plugins?

Phase Echo is a delay: it repeats your sound in time with the music and can bend those repeats in pitch and space. Phase Fracture is a stutter: it captures a tiny slice of audio and replays it as a tuned, sequenced pattern.

Which plugin formats are supported?

VST3 on macOS and Windows, and AU on macOS. CLAP isn't supported yet.

Can I really download them for free?

Yes. Enter $0 at checkout and the plugin is yours to keep. Paying what you can helps fund the next plugin.

Can I use them together?

They're made for it. Put Phase Fracture first to build a melodic stutter, then send it into Phase Echo for a harmonic, spiralling tail.

macOS says the plugin can't be opened. What now?

That happens because the Mac builds aren't notarized by Apple yet. Run the Terminal command from the install guide once, then restart your DAW. Nothing else on your system changes.

How do I get updates?

New versions are posted on the same Payhip page. Download the plugin again with the link from your Payhip receipt and replace the old file.

When is BasePhase coming out?

BasePhase is in development. It will be announced here first, together with its pricing.

Are they only for psytrance?

They're made with psytrance in mind, but they work on any source: vocals, drums, pads, guitars, field recordings.
